- Pinkathon announced the 6th edition of Pinkathon Hyderabad
- The event is in partnership with Zydus Lifesciences to create awareness about breast cancer
- Pinkathon aims at getting women to focus on fitness, community, and preventive health
Pinkathon, India's biggest women's run, has announced the 6th edition of Pinkathon Hyderabad in collaboration with global healthcare firm Zydus Lifesciences Ltd. The event was declared at a press conference organized by Park Hyatt, the hospitality partner.
The run is slated for February 15, 2026, at People's Plaza, Hyderabad, continuing the work of Pinkathon to get more and more women to focus on fitness, community, and preventive health.
Launched by actor and fitness evangelist Milind Soman in Mumbai in the year 2012, Pinkathon has transformed into a pan-India movement with its core objective to bring about change and empower women through sport.
The initiative has so far reached over half a million women across the country, provided free breast screenings to thousands of beneficiaries, raised over ₹1 crore for underprivileged cancer patients, and created a network of ambassadors in various parts of India.
In the 2025–26 seasons, Pinkathon, powered by Zydus' preventive healthcare approach, will be conducted in Mumbai, Bengaluru, Hyderabad, Kolkata, Chennai, and Delhi.
This year's Hyderabad edition brings into the spotlight the vibrant group of ambassadors belonging to different race categories, including Poonam Metta (100K), Devyani Haldar (75K), Leena Roy (50K), Mardaku Anitha, a visually impaired runner (10K), Sarita Sarkar, a cancer survivor (Lifelong 5K), and Preety Khanna, a babywearing mom (3K). Events range from 3 km runs up to ultramarathons for both first-time and seasoned runners.
Addressing media persons, Milind, Founder of Pinkathon, underlined the event's emphasis on women's health and fitness. "Hyderabad has always given a great support to Pinkathon, and with Zydus' partnership, we continue to create awareness about the early detection and self-care of women," he said.
The announcement also called out Invincible Women by Ankita Konwar, an effort to support endurance running for women. "By joining hands with Pinkathon and Zydus, we want to encourage more women to focus on their health and practice self-examination," she added.
The 2025-26 edition of Pinkathon is in line with the preventive healthcare mission of Zydus, more so its Easiest Exam campaign, which advocates that women do a simple, three-minute breast self-exam every month for early detection.
Over the years, Pinkathon has brought in inclusive formats like Saree Run, Grandmothers 10K, Baby wearing Mothers Walk, and Midnight Fearless Run, all of which will continuously be organized in Hyderabad for the main run to further encourage participation and community bonding.
