Odisha FC to Represent India at AFC Women's Champions League 2024-25

The inaugural AFC Women's Champions League 2024-25 is all set to kickstart from May 21 to May 24, 2025, in Bangkok, Thailand where India will be represented by the champion team of IWL 2023-24, Odisha FC. The Odisha FC, a Bhubaneshwar-based team has secured a spot in Asia's premier women's club football tournament by winning the 7th edition of the Indian Women's League
The Asian Football Confederation has verified India's entry into this esteemed tournament. Around 20 nations will take part in the Women's Champions League under the new format, which consists of a preliminary round, group stages, and knockout matches.
From 25 August to 31 August 2024, the Preliminary stage is scheduled whereas from 6 October to 12 October 2024, the group stage matches will take place. 12 clubs that are divided into three groups of four each will compete in 18 matches over three match days in a centralized league structure. The two best third-placed teams and the top two finishers in each group will move on to the knockout stage. The quarter-finals are set to take place on 22 March and 23 March 2025. The maiden AFC Women's Champions League season will begin with single-leg knockout matches between eight clubs from the Group Stage, followed by a draw to determine the four pairings.
