The Indian women's cricket team and the strongest female players from across the world will be participating in the ICC T20 World Cup this year on October 4, 2024, at Sylhet. The fixtures and group match schedule for the 2024 Women's T20 World Cup that will be hosted in Bangladesh has been released by the ICC on Sunday.
India and Australia, the defending champions, are in Group A, along with Pakistan, New Zealand, and a qualifier, out of the two groups into which the ten teams have been placed. The tournament will witness each team playing four group matches, with the top teams from each group advancing to the semi-finals.
Group A Fixtures
India will face New Zealand beginning their campaign on October 4 in Sylhet.
On October 6, they will compete against arc-rivals Pakistan women's team.
Defending Champions, Australia will also participate in the tournament.
Each side will play four group matches during the tournament.
Knockout Stage Schedule
The top two teams from each group will progress to the semi-finals.
The tournament will start on October 3 where England will face South Africa in Dhaka.
The final is scheduled for October 20.
Warm-up Matches
Before the World Cup, the Indian Women's team will play three T20Is against South Africa on July 5, 7, and 9.
