Navika Kumar Appointed Group Editor-in-Chief for Times Group

The Times Group has made some changes to their editorial leadership team, with Navika Kumar named the Group Editor-in-Chief.

This change was communicated internally and will be reflective of the reorganization of editorial responsibilities within their network.

Navika, who has been with Times Now for a long time, will remain an anchor on her weekday prime-time slot at 9 PM, in addition to the increased responsibilities she has at the group level. She will now lead a new podcast initiative as well as provide support to editorial and content teams across media platforms.

In an internal memo shared by Times Group, it was noted that Navika has had a major impact on the growth of the network and on the launch and subsequent growth of Times Now Navbharat.

In addition, it mentioned Navika's extensive experience in newsroom leadership and editorial development over the last 20+ years.

With her 30+ years of industry experience, it is believed that she can help shape editorial direction for the Company's various divisions. Navika will be located in Noida and will report directly to Vineet Jain (MD) and N. Subramanian (Group CEO) of the Times Group.
