Mumbai-based consumer technology brand EDT has risen $2.4 million in a Pre-Series A funding round led by existing investor Sauce, with participation from its existing angel investors.

The round also attracted investments from Alteria Capital and several industry leaders, including Raul Rai of Nicobar, Shibam Das and Arindam Paul of Atomberg, Ajith Pai of Delhivery and Anushree Tainwala of Samsonite.

EDT plans to use the fresh capital to build inventory ahead of the festive season, introduce new products and strengthen its growth, supply chain, brand and product teams.

Founded in 2025 by Naiyya Saggi and Vyasateja Rao, EDT offers kitchen appliances such as the LUMA air fryer oven and FLOW kettle. Its products are sold through Amazon, Flipkart, Blinkit, Croma, FoodStories and its D2C platform, while its Amazon business grew nearly seven times between March and July 2026.

Key Highlights:

  • EDT has raised $2.4 million in a Pre-Series A round led by Sauce to support its growth and product expansion
  • EDT has entered the beauty tech segment with SUKI, a smart hair dryer powered by its CareDry Algorithm
  • The company plans to launch three more products across home, kitchen and beauty tech while expanding its omnichannel distribution

The company is also making its first foray into the beauty tech industry with SUKI, a hair dryer powered by its patent pending CareDry Algorithm. The device, which is equipped with two sensors, monitors both the hair condition and the air flow condition 100 times a second, and adjusts the heat accordingly, EDT said.

SUKI is being sold at a special discount of Rs 8,499 on EDT's D2C. Later this year, the company intends to roll out its availability to marketplaces and retail stores.

EDT has 3 additional products to come to life in the three segments—home, kitchen and beauty tech. The company is going to be centering on R&D, product growth, omnichannel distribution, community building, and team growth.

Speaking on the fund raise, Naiyya Saggi, Co-founder & CEO, and EDT, said: “We started EDT with a simple conviction: everyday consumer appliances must be reimagined for the realities of a modern premium consumer. Our platform of Intelligent Care uses intelligence thoughtfully, from the design, the technology and programming, to the materials chosen, to the way a product ultimately has proven outcomes of care for our consumer."

Naiyya added that the funding will help break into new categories. "SUKI is the first device in our next step to bring Intelligent Care into beauty and build our Intelligent Beauty portfolio with our patent pending algorithms clinically tested to transform hair over time,” she said.

Manu Chandra, Founder & Managing Partner, Sauce, said, “EDT has demonstrated one of the strongest new-age brand trajectories I have seen in recent times, with healthy business fundamentals, strong consumer traction and an exceptional level of customer trust and love. What particularly stood out to us was the community the brand has built around its products and its ability to turn product-led innovation into genuine consumer advocacy."
