WEneurs Forum launched Project Saksham, a three-month entrepreneurship development program aimed at helping underprivileged women micro-entrepreneurs based in Delhi-NCR. The project is aimed at enhancing the business skills and entrepreneurial capability of women for making their micro-enterprises become sustainable and long-run.
In order to promote enterprise growth and development, grants upto ₹50,000 will be given to the selected top three participants. The financial support is intended to help women entrepreneurs invest in their ventures, strengthen operations and pursue their identified growth opportunities. The program will choose a group of 25-30 women entrepreneurs to attend 10 days of hands-on entrepreneurship training. Post training there will be mentoring for individuals and as groups, enabling them to sort out their business issues and fine tune strategies to expand their ventures. The program targets women entrepreneurs whose annual income is below ₹10 lakh, especially those having limited access to business training and mentoring.

The third part of the programme will consist of a Pitchathon, providing an opportunity to showcase their business models and entrepreneurial ideas. It will thrust women entrepreneurs with an opportunity to display their credibility gaining valuable feedback from the mentors and other stakeholders. The project aims to build their capabilities in a way that helps them handle and grow their businesses independently.
The project brought together leaders from the entrepreneurship, education and women’s business domains highlighting the importance of strengthening opportunities for women-led micro-enterprises.
The event opened with a welcome address by Dr. Manisha Acharya, Founder & Managing Director, WEneurs Forum, followed by a special address by Prof. K. Biswal, Professor, NIEPA, Jaya Goyal, Chairperson, Women’s Wing, IAmSMEofIndia, attended the event as the Guest of Honour, while Dr. Poonam Sinha, Director, NIESBUD, graced the occasion as the Chief Guest. Participation of these revered individuals underscored the relevance of entrepreneurship development, institutional support and capacity building for women entrepreneurs.
Director, WEneurs Forum, Deepali Singh gave an overview of the project explaining its structure, objectives, learning components and growth opportunities for the participating entrepreneurs. The session highlighted the program’s focus on practical business training, mentorship, and entrepreneurial development.
The event was attended by over 70 women micro-entrepreneurs, who used the occasion to network, share knowledge and engage directly with the program ecosystem. Also, applications to the program were formally launched at the event, providing an opportunity to eligible women entrepreneurs to get a chance to enroll in the three-month acceleration program.
Supported through InfoEdge Corporate Social Responsibility, the program is further supported through outreach and knowledge partnerships with Vyomini, Odisha Chamber of Commerce, Indigram Labs Foundation, Hunnar, Apnaa Konaa Creative Foundation, Anveshan Foundation and ASPIRE LAB. This collaboration framework is expected to enhance the scope of this program and give the women micro-entrepreneurs access to knowledge and networks.
