Former Indian cricket captain Mithali Raj lauded team India’s historic triumph as India captured their maiden ICC Women’s World Cup crown, defeating South Africa by 52 runs. The nail-biting final on Sunday saw team India’s resilience, strategy, and unwavering pursuit of excellence to gain win in Navi Mumbai.

Deepti Sharma’s decisive spell of 5/39, included a record four-wicket haul in a WC final turned the tables and sealed India’s historic win, bowling the opponent out for 246.
