The Ministry of Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSME) has launched the 'Yashaswini' initiative, part of the 'Empower Her Udan' campaign, to support women entrepreneurs in India. Starting on July 19, the campaign in Jaipur aims to empower women by providing resources, training, and support for their entrepreneurial ventures.
Around 600 women entrepreneurs in Rajasthan will participate in the initiative at the Rajasthan International Centre which will provide formal education and awareness about MSME schemes. Ankita Pandey, Director of MSME mentions, "The initiative is to introduce formal education for the women who operate commercial enterprises, along with creating awareness among them to utilize all the MSME schemes." She added, "This is not a one-day event, it will be a continuous process, and training workshops will also be organized at local MSME organizations for further development in this matter."
Ankita announced that women could register for workshops at the center to develop skills for running an enterprise, including training, capacity building, capital utilization, market access, product development, and digital marketing. The event will feature Union Minister Jitan Ram Manjhi, Union Minister of State Sobha Karandlaje, Chief Minister of Rajasthan Bhajan Lal Sharma, and State Cabinet Minister Colonel Rajyavardhan Singh Rathore.
