Mumbai-based MakeO, the parent company of clear aligner brand Toothsi, has raised ₹90 crore ($9.5 million) in a funding round led by Singularity AMC. DSP Family Office, Genesis and Unispace Ventures also participated in the round.

The company will use the newly raised capital to expand its dental technology business across India and Southeast Asia. The investment is expected to support its growth and strengthen its presence in these markets.

The funding follows MakeO's announcement in February of an agreement to acquire Singapore-based dental care startup Zenyum. The proposed acquisition aims to strengthen the company's presence across Southeast Asia.

Key Highlights:

  • MakeO raises ₹90 crore in a funding round led by Singularity AMC to expand across India and Southeast Asia
  • The company operates over 60 clinical centres and has served more than four lakh consumers
  • MakeO reported ₹500 crore in consolidated revenue and EBITDA profitability in 2026, with plans to double revenue within two to three years

In 2025, MakeO acquired Apple Dental, which operates 20 dental clinics across Andhra Pradesh and Telangana, for ₹10.98 crore through a combination of cash and stock.

After the acquisitions MakeO has approximately 1,100 partner dentists in 10 countries. It also has over 60 offline clinical centres and has catered to more than 4 lakh consumers, the company said.

MakeO has an aligner planning and manufacturing plant in Mumbai Metropolitan Region (MMR) with a production capacity of more than 1 million aligners per year. Its products are sold with dentists and consumers in over 150 cities around India and the company exports to more than 10 countries via the networks Toothsi and Zenyum.

MakeO, established in 2018 by Arpi Mehta, Pravin Shetty, Manjul Jain and Anirudh Kal, started its operations with the brand of clear aligners known as Toothsi. It launched Toothsi and skincare brand Skinnsi under the MakeO umbrella in September 2022, providing patients with dental, skin and hair treatments on one platform.

MakeO was already backed by investors such as Eight Roads Ventures, 360 ONE Asset and Paramark Ventures with a total investment of more than $100 million prior to the latest round. It raised Rs 100 crore in June 2025 from existing investors. The company raised a $16m round led by 360 ONE Asset and Ashish Kacholia's investment office in January 2024.

MakeO has said that its consolidated business has attained Rs 500 crore revenue benchmark and is profitable on an EBITDA basis earlier this year in 2026. The company's goal is to double its revenues in the next two to three years.
