L&T Finance Ltd (LTF) has announced that it has completed its "Pillion Rider to Rider" program at K.L.E. Society's Jagadguru Gangadhar College of Commerce.

This program was in partnership with Aatm Nirbhar (a social enterprise working to enable women's mobility through training) and included more than 100 women.

The program is part of LTF’s wider effort to engage with young people through encouraging independent mobility.

Through assisting participants to transition from purely utilising public transport into using their own two-wheeler for everyday commuting, we aimed to instill confidence and self-reliance in their ability to commute every day.

Participants received structured training aimed at their ability to ride independently. Participants also received support in obtaining a learner’s license which enables them to legally comply with the requirements for driving.

Training used two-wheeler models that are low in difficulty so that they are accessible to new riders and are safe for new riders.

The curriculum also contained a specific module on Road Safety and Driving, which covered how to follow traffic rules and responsible behaviors when driving. Participants received certificates upon successful completion of the program.

In this context of explaining the initiative, Jinesh Shah, Chief Executive – Urban Secured Assets & Third Party Products at LTF, said that this program is a reflection of the company’s approach to enabling mobility beyond financial services. “The focus here is to make sure that participants are both informed and safety-conscious riders.”

Jinesh also stated that “Two-Wheeler Finance is one of the key product segments within LTF’s portfolio. Our offerings in this segment are aimed at facilitating quick approvals, competitive EMIs, and access for customers. Additionally, we utilize Project Cyclops, an AI/ML-driven credit risk assessment platform that facilitates real-time evaluation of loan applications.”

For the quarter ended December 31, 2025, i.e., Q3 FY26, the Two-Wheeler Finance segment of LTF saw quarterly disbursements of Rs. 3,217 crore.

This is a growth of 33 percent over the same period last year. Additionally, the loan book for this segment stands at Rs. 13,913 crore. This is a growth of 10 percent over the previous year.

Jagadguru Gangadhar College of Commerce is a part of KLE Society. This college was founded in 1947 and is A++ accredited by NAAC. This college is affiliated with Karnataka University.
