Aditya Birla Capital appoints Vishakha Mulye as New CEO

Aditya Birla Capital (NSE: ABCAPITAL), the holding company of all the financial services businesses of the Aditya Birla Group, has appointed VishakhaMulye, a former executive at ICICI Bank, as the organization’s new CEO.
In a statement to the exchanges, the company said, "This appointment comes in the wake of Mr. Ajay Srivinasan’s plans to move out of the current role and he shall be taking up another role within the Aditya Birla Group”. The statement further added that the appointment has been made as per the recommendations of the company's nomination, remuneration and compensation committee.
Mulyewould take up her post on June 1.She will also be the first woman to be appointed to the Aditya Birla Management Corporation.
Prior to coming onboard Aditya Birla Capital Mulyewas the executive director of ICICI Bank and was in charge of the wholesale banking portfolio.
Mulye is a chartered accountant and brings to the table three decades of industry experience. She has held several leadership roles over the years, including managing a team that oversaw the merger of ICICI Bank and ICICI in 2002.She had also worked with ICICI Lombard and led ICICI Venture, according to the report.
Ajay Srinivasan has been heading Aditya Birla Capital since 2007. For the quarter ended Dec 31, 2021, the NBFC reported a consolidated net profit of Rs 577 crore.
