Leaders Applaud India's Blind Women's T20 World Cup Win

On Monday, Prime Minister Narendra Modi praised the Indian women's blind cricket team for becoming the first team to win the inaugural Blind Women's T20 World Cup, adding that their undefeated form was a testament to teamwork, discipline, and will.
In a post on X, he issued congratulations to the team for their historic victory, noting that they also had to maintain that form through the tournament. Modi noted that the milestone victory is noteworthy because it represented teamwork and hard work of the athletes in the field and that every single player contributed to that outcome. He stated that the historic victory would be remembered for generations to come, and that he wished the team continued success in the future.
Chief Minister Siddaramaiah of Karnataka congratulated the Indian Blind Women's Cricket Team for their historic victory in winning the first-ever Women's T20 World Cup for the Blind.
Team India, captained by Deepika TC, won the championship title. They defeated Nepal by 7 wickets during a battle in Colombo.
In his statement, Siddaramaiah pointed out that even if there were significant physical hurdles these players overcame, the fact of having won the game would be etched forever in the pride of the country and in people's spirits. He termed this victory a Day of Historic National Significance for India.
Siddaramaiah said on X that the Indian team had played with determination throughout their last match, making history by defeating Nepal. At the middle of the game, the Indian team reached a score of 100 runs in just 10 overs.
Deepika TC, the Captain, highlighted that the team made history, and reiterated how everyone came together to win the match. She emphasized our competition and competitive spirit.
Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Vishnu Deo congratulated the Indian blind women’s team on winning the inaugural Women’s T20 World Cup for the Blind on Sunday. He said the team’s achievement has made the entire nation proud. Speaking to reporters, he commended the players for their performance and contribution to the historic win.
India’s Communications Minister Jyotiraditya Scindia congratulated the Indian blind women’s cricket team on winning the inaugural Women’s T20 World Cup for the Blind on Sunday. Led by Deepika TC, India defeated Nepal by seven wickets in the final held in Colombo.
Jyotiraditya praised the team’s performance, highlighting their determination and skill, and noted that their victory marks a significant achievement for Indian women’s cricket. He said on X that the team’s success is a proud moment for the country.
