Jyothi Yarraji won gold in the women's 100m hurdles at the 2025 Taiwan Athletics Open, with a stellar time of 12.99 seconds. She edged out Japan's Asuka Terada (13.04s), securing a silver medal, and Chisato Kiyoyama (13.10s), who also won a bronze medal. She surged ahead in the final 20 meters, showcasing her powerful finish, making her the only athlete to finish under 13 seconds in the final. Jyothi's victory adds to her growing legacy, having previously won gold at the Asian Championships in South Korea. Her national record stands at 12.78 seconds.

With this win, India won six gold medals in the World Athletics Continental Tour Bronze meet in Taipei, including the women's 1500m and 4x100m relay. Pooja won the women's 1500m, setting a competition record of 4:11.63, while the women's 4x100m relay team, including Sudheeksha Vadluri, Sneha Sathyanarayana Shanuvalli, Abhinaya Rajarajan, and Nithya Gandhe, set a new record of 44.07 seconds.

The Indian men's 4x100m, including Gurindervir Singh, Animesh Kujur, Manikanta Hoblidhar, and Amlan Borgohain, also won gold. Tejast Shirse won the gold medal in the men's 110m hurdles with a tailwind of +1.5, while Yuan Kai Hsieh finished second. Aboobacker won the men's triple jump with a leap of 16.21m, while the Indian men's 3x100m relay team won the sixth gold medal.
