Jilan Liu Appointed as VP of Global Strategy by GHA

The increasing popularity of medical travel, including healthcare tourism and other types of international medical care, has an increased role in providing patients with safe, transparent, and patient-centered Global Healthcare Accreditation’s d care across borders.

With the GHA being recognized as the world’s first accreditation organization focused only on medical travel, they have been instrumental in developing international standards and helping to build patient confidence while creating a level playing field for healthcare providers and destinations to compete and collaborate within an increasingly global healthcare marketplace.

With the rapid growth of the industry and its evolution, GHA is excited to announce that it has appointed Dr. Jilan Liu to the position of Vice President for Global Strategy. This appointment will further help GHA solidify its position in global leadership and strategic growth throughout the Asia-Pacific region and beyond.

Dr. Liu has over three decades of global healthcare experience across 30-plus countries and various sectors such as accreditation, consulting, health system development and digital health transformation.

She has served as the Chief Executive for Greater China with the Healthcare Information and Management Systems Society , where she contributed to advancing the adoption of international standards for health IT, as well as accelerating the implementation of digital transformation in hospitals in the Greater China region.

Moreover, Dr. Liu has served as the Principal Consultant and Director of Joint Commission International for Greater China, providing consulting services to hundreds of hospitals throughout the world on how to enhance their patient safety, operational excellence, and quality of care.

Dr. Liu's appointment is a testament to GHA's ongoing efforts to build a strong space presence and support healthcare organizations in delivering patient-centered, high-quality care that aligns with global standards.
