- CaratLane, a TATA product, debuted a new jewelry line called "Runway" on May 28
- The collection honors the spirit, aspirations, and grace of female pilots
- CaratLane is the first jewelry brand in India to honor female aviators with this launch
Runway, a stunning new jewelry collection by CaratLane, a TATA product, honors the courage, aspirations, and elegance of women in aviation. CaratLane is the first Indian jewelry brand to recognize women who have achieved incredible success in the sky with this groundbreaking release.
Through the elegance of this collection, the Runway campaign film masterfully tells the stories of three female aviation professionals: a fighter pilot, a commercial pilot, and a cabin crew member. Runway defies expectations by offering more than 20 unique diamond-encrusted designs in 9KT and 14KT gold. Even delicately moving aircraft motifs are used in some pieces to represent tales of bravery, aspirations, and flight.
CaratLane debuted the collection at a private preview event at its flagship store in Bandra, Mumbai. The celebration gained more celebrity power when Gul Panag, an actress, politician, adventurer, and licensed pilot, attended.
The growing aviation industry in India and the notable number of women working in it were highlighted by Saumen Bhoumik, MD of CaratLane. Aircrew has been symbols of contemporary India from the days of a single national carrier to the thriving industry of today. He remarked, "This collection is our tribute to the women who, by their bravery and genius, elevate our skies."
"This is more than jewelry — it's a tribute to the spirit of flying," Gul said, expressing her appreciation for the collection. This resonates deeply with me as a pilot. Runway genuinely celebrates the freedom of flight by fusing fashion and meaning.
