Indian women's cricket team clinches victory by dominating a 5-0 win in the 5-match series against Bangladesh for T20 World Cup preparations, led by Harmanpreet Kaur and Smriti Mandhana, featuring 16-member squad with debutants Asha Sobhana and Sajeevan Sajana. The final match was awe to watch as Radha Yadav was instrumental in India's victory as she effectively dismantled Bangladesh's top-order with 3 wickets for 24 runs. Additionally, Richa Ghosh made rapid and undefeated 28 runs off 17 balls, a major contribution to the total.
India made a chasing target of 157 runs losing 5 wickets in the last match against Bangladesh, the highest total of the series from either team. The host team started well but Radha grabbed their early wickets. The Indian pacers restricted their opponents at 135 in 20 overs grabbing six wickets and securing a 21-run win. All-rounder Moni and Shorifa led a fightback with 57 runs, but India eventually prevailed after Ghosh's innings helped India reach 156 for five.
Initially, India's progress was halted by Bangladesh's pacers. They took early wickets of Harmanpreet Kaur (30), Dayalan Hemalatha (37) and S Sajana (1). However, Smriti Mandhana set the tone with a fluent 33 off 25 balls registering the highest 116 runs in a match series outshining other batters. Additionally, Radha Yadav clinched the highest 10 wickets in five games.
