India Women's Team Hosted in Pretoria Ahead of 4th T20I

  • Before the fourth T20I, Indian High Commissioner Prabhat Kumar invited the Indian women's cricket team to India House, Pretoria.

Indian High Commissioner to South Africa Prabhat Kumar invited the Indian women cricket team for a dinner at India House in Pretoria on 25 April 2026 before the fourth T20I match against South Africa.

It was a gesture of support and encouragement of the Indian team who are in South Africa for their T20I series. At the event, India captain Harmanpreet Kaur gave a signed team jersey to the High Commissioner as a souvenir and as an acknowledgement of the warm hospitality given to the players.

Harmanpreet Kaur is among India's top cricketers and a very prominent player in women's cricket. Along with aggressive batting and excellent captaincy skills, she is also considered a significant player contributing to India's gains in international cricket in all formats. As captain, she is a calm and experienced mentor leading a team that includes both very experienced and new players.

Prabhat Kumar, India's High Commissioner to South Africa, is diplomatically helping India and South Africa understand each other better. His association with India's women's cricket team shows how Indian embassies still supporting the national players especially during their international trips.
