Honeywell Appoints Indra Nooyi to Board of Directors

By: WE staff | Tuesday, 16 December 2025

  • Honeywell International has appointed Indra Nooyi to its board of directors effective January 1
  • Nooyi was also the CEO of PepsiCo from 2006 and served until 2018
  • She also occupied a position as a Board Chair of PepsiCo between 2007-2019

Indra Nooyi has been nominated to the Board of Directors of Honeywell International, Inc., serving as the independent director beginning on January 1, 2022.

Honeywell International, Inc. is headquartered in Charlotte, North Carolina, and has over 130,000 employees worldwide.

Prior to joining Honeywell, Nooyi was the CEO of PepsiCo from 2006 to 2018, serving on their Board of Directors from 2007 through 2019. Forbes and Fortune named her one of the 50 Most Powerful Women in Business multiple times, and she currently chairs the Audit Committee at Amazon.

When commenting about Indra joining the Board of Directors of Honeywell, Vimal Kapur, President and CEO of Honeywell, said, “Indra offers great experience with developing and operating a global corporation, along with her financial and operational knowledge, and a passion for long-term shareholder value. We will gain a lot with her as part of our Board.”

All of this happens in the context of a corporate restructuring at Honeywell. Recently, Honeywell spun-off its Advanced Materials business unit into a standalone company named Solstice Advanced Materials Inc. and is located in New Jersey. This is the first step toward splitting the company into three separate entities.

Honeywell has announced that it will complete spinning-off its aerospace and automation business in 2023. The new Honeywell will maintain its corporate headquarters in Charlotte, North Carolina, but will focus more heavily on automation.
