Hitachi Energy Names Meenakshi S as Talent Acquisition Partner

A global technology leader in electrification and sustainable energy solutions, Hitachi Energy has appointed Meenakshi Shekharan as Executive Talent Acquisition Partner – Asia Pacific. In her new role, she will lead the successful global execution of executive search projects for key leadership positions, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and talent priorities.
Prior to joining Hitachi Energy, Meenakshi worked extensively at GE Vernova for nearly 7 years, the last of which was spent as Talent Acquisition Partner (Engineering & Technology) – India. In her role, she oversaw engineering hiring projects in various business groups, spearheaded grid solutions and hydropower business talent acquisition initiatives, and was a strong champion for global talent advisory, process improvement, stakeholder management, and diversity hiring projects.
She also helped optimize recruitment processes using Workday know-how, train teams and HR stakeholders on end-to-end hiring processes, and adopt leaner hiring practices to boost turnaround times.
Previously, Meenakshi served GE as a Senior Associate – Talent Acquisition, where she performed the role of Talent Acquisition for Grid Solutions, Hybrid and Hydro energy business in India. She had a broad range of responsibilities, such as high volume hiring, ATS management, market mapping, stakeholder engagement and recruitment analytics. She was also honored as one of the top recruiters in the country for Engineering and Sales hiring at PAN India level.

Prior to joining the global talent acquisition team, Meenakshi demonstrated a strong background in the recruitment strategy and workforce planning function across the renewable energy, power and infrastructure industry.
She has collaborated closely with business leaders over the years to understand their critical talent requirements, build employer branding and formulate recruitment strategies for scaling and efficient operations. Her background encompasses executive search, the recruitment of engineers and technologies, stakeholder management, process optimisation and diversity initiatives within talent, and her expertise is strong in providing strategic leadership talent searches for the Asia Pacific region at Hitachi Energy.
