
Hero MotoCorp's Saksham Project Celebrates Milestone in Empowering Women in Vaishali

Under the Saksham Project, a women-focused skilling initiative supported by Hero MotoCorp and carried out by the Automotive Skills Development Council (ASDC), an event was planned to commemorate the convocation of trained ladies and the start of a new training batch.
The function was started with the ceremonial lighting of the lamp by Union Cabinet Minister for Food Processing Industries, Shri Chirag Paswan, MLA Awadhesh Singh, Vision India CEO Vivek Kumar, and top officials from ASDC and Hero MotoCorp.
The convocation welcomed women trained for Automotive Telecalling, EV Service Assistance, and Sales Executive, and a fresh batch of trainees. Shri Chirag congratulated the initiative as a reflection of Bihar's success, commenting that women entering traditionally male fields are indicative of the success of skilling initiatives run by the government. He emphasized increasing opportunities in rural India within the EV automotive industries and suggested setting up a Center of Excellence.
ASDC Vice President Vinkesh Gulati highlighted Saksham's role in bridging gender gap and changing lives, with more than 4,000 women already trained. Phase II will train 20,000 women in eight short-skilled jobs in high demand, with close to 1,900 already enrolled.
Saksham is further spreading across the country, fostering inclusive skilling, financial empowerment, and gender parity reaffirming the belief that empowering women powers national growth.
