India (placed 79th globally) will fight for elevation to Division A for the 2027 Asia Cup, and the top eight on the continent will contest Division A for a guaranteed spot at the FIBA World Cup. India, Chinese Taipei, Kazakhstan, and Tahiti share Group A of this biennial tournament, with three league matches and a knockout stage.
Siya had earlier created history in 2023 when she became the first Nagpurite player to compete for India in 3x3 basketballs at the Asian Games in Hangzhou, China.
