Haryana Gov to Introduce Hostels for Working Women with Integrated Childcare Facilities

- The Haryana Government is launching hostels for working women under the Sakhi Niwas Yojana.
- These hostels will be constructed in Faridabad and Gurugram. They will provide safe and affordable accommodation for working women.

The Haryana Government is taking steps to better support working women by building hostels in Faridabad and Gurugram as part of the Sakhi Niwas Yojana. These hostels will offer secure, affordable housing and include daycare services for women with children.
The hostels will provide safe and affordable accommodation for working women. Daycare services will be available for women with children.
The initiative is led by Haryana Mahila Vikas Nigam. Women will be allowed to stay with their children boys up to 12 years old and girls up to 18 years old.
Special preference will be given to women from economically weaker sections and those with disabilities.
Applicants must be Haryana residents and income limit should be Rs 50,000 per month in metropolitan areas and Rs 35,000 in other areas. Women earning above these limits must vacate the hostel within three months.
Required documents include an Aadhaar card, police verification report, and income certificate.
Hostels will be built on one-acre plots, with each accommodating 200 women. The estimated project cost is Rs 65.3 crore.
This initiative aims to provide crucial support to working women and single mothers across Haryana
