GE Appliances has appointed Aarthi Gunnan Rajkumar as its Director of HR Client Support to reinforce the company's commitment to workforce strategy and organizational effectiveness with a seasoned people leader.
In her new position, Rajkumar will collaborate with senior leaders on HR priorities while driving employee experience initiatives, organizational growth, and people support.
The role will place her in a central position in integrating business and HR strategies, reflecting a wider trend among large organizations of integrating workforce strategies directly into business operations.
The goal for Rajkumar is to support the HR function across various business units while adding leadership involvement in building organizational capacity.
Rajkumar previously worked as an Associate Director of Human Resources at GigSky, where she created and implemented global HR initiatives across talent management, leadership development, and organizational transformation. Additionally, Rajkumar also served on the board in India during that time.
Her experience also includes creating workforce strategies and aligning HR frameworks with broader business strategies across the world.
Rajkumar's previous employment with PlasmaGen Biosciences included approximately 10 years in a variety of HR leadership roles. She served as the Associate General Manager of Human Resources, Senior Manager of HR and Administration.
During this period, she implemented various types of company-wide cultural programs, employee engagement initiatives, and analytical systems designed using Predictive Analytics Technologies, which were designed to enhance employee productivity and improve the operational efficiencies of the business.
Before joining PlasmaGen, Rajkumar's HR career began with the Automed Systems. At Automed Systems, she managed HR operations, recruitment and staffing, employee compliance, and employee development while implementing ISO Quality Systems.
GE Appliances operates under many name plates such as Monogram, Café, GE Profile, GE, Haier, and Hotpoint and there are products made by GE Appliances located in approximately half of the homes within the United States. GE Appliances has over 15,500 employees throughout the world, and their corporate headquarters is located in Louisville, KY.
This appointment is timely given that many organizations are now placing a greater level of emphasis on developing strategic HR leaders to help them compete, retain top talent and grow their businesses in such a competitive marketplace.
