Fireside Ventures backs Kisah in a 35.9 Cr Series A round

- Kisah raises 35.9 Cr in Series A, valuing the company at 211 Cr
- Revenue up 65% YoY to 41.8 Cr; profits more than double to 2 Cr
- Brand shifts from marketplace-led growth to an omnichannel retail model
Kisah, an ethnic wear brand out of Kolkata, has recently raised 35.9 crores (approximately $3.8 million) in its Series A funding round led by Fireside Ventures. This funding round also saw participation from a number of individual investors.
Of the total 35.9 crores raised, Fireside Ventures has pledged to contribute 34 crores with the balance expected from other investors. This funding round has valued Kisah at post-money 211 crores which is almost a 70 percent increase from the company's previous valuation.
Kisah was founded in 2018 by Yash Sarawagi and Yashwi Ladasaria as a brand to serve the contemporary ethnic wear needs of the Gen Z and millennial market with fashion-forward yet accessible available designs for both men and children.
Kisah was able to grow using a marketplace-led model, but now they are transitioning toward an omnichannel retail model. The Company has continued to grow financially over the past year with its revenue growing 65 percent year-on-year to 41.8 crores in FY25 and more than doubling its profits to two crores.
The founders have been a driving force behind the company's vision and positioning for the future of ethnic wear in India and serves as a representative of women's leadership behind the Kisah brand.
Fireside Ventures is a known backer of consumer-based brands and continues to develop its portfolio in the space of fashion and lifestyle with this investment in Kisah.
