FICCI FLO-JKL & CU Jammu sign MoU to Promote Women's Entrepreneurship & Skill Development

- FICCI FLO Jammu Kashmir and Ladakh Chapter and Central University of Jammu Signed an MoU on 4 Feb 2025.
- MoU focuses on skilling, entrepreneurship, women empowerment, and health.
- The partnership will be guided by Prof. Sanjeev Jain, Vice Chancellor of CU Jammu.
FICCI FLO Jammu Kashmir and Ladakh Chapter has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Central University of Jammu to collaborate on initiatives in skilling, entrepreneurship, women empowerment, health and wellness, and other areas of mutual interest.
Signed in Jammu on Feb 4, the MoU aims to equip women students with industry-aligned skills. It will develop students' entrepreneurial skills and boost regional economic growth.
The MoU was signed by Ruchika, Chairperson of FICCI-FLOJKL, and Prof. Yashwant Singh, Registrar of Central University of Jammu.
This partnership will be led under the guidance of Prof. Sanjeev Jain, Vice Chancellor of the Central University of Jammu. Prof. Sanjeev plans on implementing initiatives like offering seats for Single Girl Child and market-driven courses for student placements.
Ruchika Gupta highlighted the Young Women Affinity Group (YWAG) initiative, which supports women’s personal and professional growth in higher education.
Prof. Yashwant Singh expressed excitement about the MoU, noting that it will strengthen entrepreneurship and the start-up climate for students.
The program was coordinated by Prof. Jaya Bhasin, Dr. Shahid Mushtaq, and Dr. Asif Ali from the School of Business Studies.
Dr. Shahid Mushtaq discussed the vocationalization efforts and the CUJ SITE COUNCIL for providing incubation support.
Both institutions will organize workshops, seminars, and training to improve teaching and skills for small businesses. This collaboration will help female students showcase their skills to a global audience.
