Three Women from Kullu Set to Represent India at Asian Winter Games

- Tanuja, Sandhya and Aanchal from Himachal Pradesh, will represent India at the 2025 Asian Winter Games.

In an inspiring achievement, three women from Kullu district of Himachal Pradesh, have been chosen to represent India at the 2025 Asian Winter Games in Harbin, China. Tanuja and Sandhya from Palchan, along with Aanchal Thakur from Burua, Solang Valley, have earned the prestigious opportunity to compete in this esteemed event, scheduled to take place from February 7 to February 14.
The three chosen athletes underwent training in Italy, mainly focused on the Slalom Skiing competition, ensuring they were fully prepared for the challenges ahead.
For this competition, the Centre provided complete financial support for their training expenses, allowing the athletes to train at an international level and gain valuable experience.
Aanchal Thakur, who has previously represented India in international skiing competitions, has already established herself as a skilled and accomplished athlete. Her impressive performances have earned her recognition and brought pride to the state of Himachal Pradesh.
Manali MLA Bhuvaneshwar Gaur congratulated the athletes, He remarked, "A daughter is priceless. We are all proud of these young women for representing our state and nation at such a prominent event."
The 2025 Asian Winter Games will be held in Harbin, Heilongjiang, China. The Games will feature various winter sports, including skiing, ice skating, and snowboarding, offering athletes from across Asia a platform to showcase their talents.
These three women from Himachal Pradesh are set to make their mark at the 2025 Asian Winter Games with their hard work and determination.
