ICAI honors Ashwini Sawrikar with Women Chartered Accountant of the Year Award

Ashwini Sawrikar, a Mumbai-born Chartered Accountant, has been awarded the Women Chartered Accountant of the Year Award by the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI). The supreme regulatory body of CAs in India, ICAI organized a grand event in New Delhi which was graced by Union Minister of Law and Justice, Arjun Ram Meghwal, President of ICAI, Ranjit Kumar Agarwal along with other dignitaries.

The CA Women Excellence Awards honor women CAs who made contributions to the profession, members, and students who have significantly contributed toward societal impact. The women awardees are selected who have contributed to ICAI through mentoring, awareness-raising, knowledge-sharing, and societal change.

On receiving this prestigious award, Ashwini Sawrikar mentioned "This award is a tribute to the power of women professionals in finance who are lending their might to usher India towards its Amrit Kal and helping the government realize its vision of Viksit Bharat. I hope this award inspires every woman to dream big and aim for the stars, in the process doing their families and the nation proud."

Ashwini Sawrikar, a qualified Chartered Accountant at the age of 22, has worked in multinational auditing firms and foreign banks in India. She holds globally recognized certifications and served as the Finance Director of Indian Schools in Oman and chairs the Academic Committee at present. Ashwini is the Chief Operating Officer of Artha Bharat Investment Managers IFSC LLP, the first distressed debt fund in Gujarat International Finance Tec-City (GIFT). She oversees risk management, compliance, HR, finance, and administration.
