Diplomacy, balancing intellect, empathy, and restraint, along with strategic communication and dynamic priority management, was also noted during the session. The session celebrated women's leadership across diverse domains, highlighting mental strength, perseverance, and breaking gender stereotypes.
Ambassador Nirupama Rao shared her thoughts, mentioning, "In today's world, women are stepping forward to redefine what it means to lead from the frontlines, be it foreign policy, governance, or national defence. Their courage, insight, and dedication are shaping India's narrative on the global stage and within our borders." She further noted about the complexity of leadership in today's changing environment, stating, "Leadership today requires more than just authority; it demands empathy, resilience, and the ability to listen deeply, especially in complex and rapidly evolving environments. True progress comes from creating inclusive spaces where diverse experiences and perspectives come together to build solutions that are just and sustainable."
Captain Yashika Hatwal Tyagi, an Army veteran, shared her perspectives, noting, "It was an absolute honor to be part of 'Frontline India' with FICCI FLO, a platform that truly celebrates the strength and spirit of women who lead with purpose and passion. My journey as a Captain in the Indian Army has been one of learning, courage, and constantly challenging stereotypes. When I joined the armed forces, it was still a space where women had to prove their worth every day. Wearing the uniform wasn't just about service; it was about paving the way for every young girl who dared to dream differently."
FICCI FLO Bangalore Chairperson Dekyi Yangtso Chawla praised the event as a reflection of the FLO community's strength, wisdom, and commitment to change. The session highlighted the importance of owning voices and authenticity, and the extraordinary achievements of the two women featured resonated with FLO members, young professionals, and aspiring leaders.
