BRICS CCI WE launches Women in Innovation, Science & Entrepreneurship across BRICS+ nations

The BRICS CCI WE launched WISE (Women in Innovation, Science & Entrepreneurship), a global initiative aimed at promoting gender equity in technology, science, and entrepreneurship across BRICS+ nations. The initiative includes global mentorship networks, funding access, policy advocacy, leadership in emerging technologies, sustainable economic development, and cross-border partnerships with organizations like Mulheres Inspiradoras, SKOLKOVO Women's Forum, SheAtWork, and FCPLG.

The Women's Empowerment of the BRICS Chamber of Commerce and Industry officially started the initiative during the BRICS Women Business Alliance (WBA) annual plenary meeting in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. Brics CCI We Wise is a platform promoting women's leadership in emerging technologies like AI, aiming for a sustainable and inclusive global economy. It has signed an MoU with the WBA Brazilian Chapter, focusing on fostering sustainable economic development and improving opportunities for women-led businesses across the Brica plus region.

The Wise platform supports women in technology and entrepreneurship through innovation, collaboration, funding access, and policy advocacy, fostering mentorship, strategic partnerships, and knowledge sharing. Supporting the initiative, Ruby Sinha, President, BRICS CCI WE and Programme Lead, mentioned, "The BRICS CCI WE initiative brings together mentors, experts, and innovators from around the world to build a collaborative community. It aims to identify systemic and regulatory challenges while advocating for enabling policies across BRICS+ countries to promote women's full participation in innovation and enterprise."
