BRICS CCI WE Launches the Global Women Leadership Program

BRICS CCI WE, The BRICS Chamber of Commerce and Industry's women's vertical, created the BRICS CCI WE Global Women Leadership Programme to improve women's leadership in the global business arena.

The three-month hybrid program, which will begin in December 2023 and is aimed at female professionals and entrepreneurs from BRICS and other friendly countries, will include mentorship and learning modules designed to improve leadership skills, foster global connections, and gain insights from industry professionals and global leaders.

Weekly courses will be attended by around 25 women professionals and entrepreneurs with at least two years of experience, with successful participants getting a BRICS CCI certification. Candidates who choose to join in the program, which will meet on Wednesdays and Saturdays, will pay an initiation fee of $120.

Among the distinguished mentors taking part are Kalpana Sharma, Former Additional Secretary, Lok Sabha; Dr. Aisha Bin Bishr, Director General of Smart Dubai Office; Nicole Nguyen, Co-founder of APAC DAO; Jenny Chen, Founder & CEO, A&J Consulting International; Noopur Jhunjhunwala, Trustee & Co-founder, Changeinkk; Nidhi Goyal, Managing Partner- Avinav Consulting; and others.

Ruby Sinha, President of BRICS CCI WE, emphasized the program's importance in promoting women's leadership, saying, "The BRICS WE Global Women Leadership Programme signifies BRICS CCI's commitment to advancing women's leadership in the global business landscape." It seeks to give world-class mentorship, training, and resources to participants. Aspiring female leaders are cordially welcomed to join us on this illuminating journey of growth, education, and inspiration."

The project takes on further significance in light of the government's efforts to increase female entrepreneurship. According to Bhanu Pratap Singh Verma, Minister of State in the MSME Ministry, statistics from July 2023 showed that women held just 19.43% of the approximately 2 crore registered businesses.
