Axis Max Life Insurance Limited has appointed Ruchita Jain as Vice President and Head of Strategy, Portfolio & Compliance under the Chief Operating Officer (COO) function, expanding her leadership responsibilities to drive strategic execution, governance, and business transformation across the organisation. The appointment marks a significant milestone in Jain's career, reflecting her extensive experience in customer insights, operational strategy, and business excellence.

Announcing the development on LinkedIn, Ruchita described her new position as a continuation of her long-standing commitment to placing customers at the heart of business decisions rather than a shift in career direction. She noted that the role represents a deeper sense of purpose, allowing her to shape strategic priorities while continuing to champion customer-centric growth.

In her expanded role, Ruchita will oversee the COO's strategic initiatives, governance frameworks, portfolio management, and compliance. She will also be responsible for aligning business priorities, ensuring seamless execution of enterprise-wide projects, and delivering measurable business outcomes that support the company's long-term objectives.

Ruchita has spent more than nine years at Axis Max Life Insurance, where she has steadily progressed through leadership positions focused on customer intelligence and experience. Before her latest promotion, she served as Vice President and Head of Customer Insights, leading initiatives that strengthened customer intelligence capabilities and supported data-driven decision-making. Earlier, she held the role of Assistant Vice President, managing customer insight and consumer behaviour programmes, while also advancing through several leadership positions in customer marketing and insights during her tenure with Max Life Insurance.

Throughout her career at the insurer, Ruchita has contributed to the development of customer-focused frameworks, including the implementation of Net Promoter Score (NPS) measurement systems, research platforms such as IPQ and IRIS, customer marketing initiatives, and the company's Customer Obsession programme. She has also supported board-level decision-making through consumer insights and strategic analysis, reinforcing a culture centred on customer needs.

Before joining the insurance industry, Ruchita worked as Project Director at Kantar TNS, where she managed quantitative market research projects and advised organisations on marketing and brand strategies. She began her professional journey as a Software Engineer at Aricent Technologies, working on WiMAX and 3G simulated test environments before transitioning into customer research and strategy.

An MBA in Marketing from FORE School of Management, Ruchita has further strengthened her expertise through professional certifications, including Six Sigma Black Belt, customer experience, and leadership programmes. Her experience spans customer insights, market research, digital transformation, and operational strategy, equipping her to lead enterprise-wide initiatives in her new role.
