  • Aseem Foundation delegation, headed by Sarang Gosavi, met Union Minister Nityanand Rai
  • Highlighted the importance of grassroots organizations in advancing women's empowerment

Pune's Aseem Foundation delegation led by President Sarang Gosavi sat down with Union Minister of State for Home Affairs, Shri Nityanand Rai, to bring attention to their transformative work within conflict zones. The dialogue focused on emphasizing the critical initiatives of grassroots-level organizations in pushing forward women's empowerment, as well as battling prevalent issues connected with employment as well as socio-economic engagement.

To cater to increasing demands for women's integration into the workforce, the Aseem Foundation is an emblem of modernity. Through joint ventures with the Indian Army within Jammu and Kashmir, Manipur, Nagaland, Maharashtra, and elsewhere, the NGO has enabled women to lead local development processes, including skill development initiatives, education drives, and micro-enterprise activities.

At the meeting, the women beneficiaries and organizers in the delegation presented individual anecdotes of how the programs have allowed for self-sufficiency in marginalized communities. "When dedication is paired with structured support, it ignites positive change," Sarang added, highlighting how women in war-torn areas have gone from survival to becoming leaders, encouraging others to follow suit.

Minister Nityanand Rai commended the Foundation’s innovative partnership with the Indian Army, describing it as “a model for inclusive nation-building.” He applauded the women’s resilience, stating, “Your efforts are in line with the government’s vision of ‘Nari Shakti’ as the foundation of development.” Rai assured ongoing institutional support to expand such initiatives, highlighting their potential to foster regional stability and promote economic equity.
