APS Bank Introduces Womens & Pride Inclusion Networks

• The last Run for a Girl Child which was the 10th event, took place on the 20th of November 2022 at Gachibowli Stadium in Hyderabad
• These events for ten years to help support education, health care, and developing skills through its various initiatives

Seva Bharathi Telangana hosted the 10th Annual Run for a Girl Child today at Gachibowli Stadium. There were participants in three different distance categories: 5K, 10K, and 21K. This is an initiative that supports education, health care, and skill development for the past 10 years.

Corporates who helped support this year’s event included Freedom Healthy Cooking Oils, PalTech, Global Data, and 75 more companies.

All of the guests that participated in flagging off the anniversary run included: Mithali Raj, Hari Chandana, P. Chandra Shekhara Reddy, Rahul Bhatia, Shanti Palreddy and Sumalatha, as well as many other corporate representatives and members from Seva Bharathi.

The goal of this event was to increase awareness of the socio-economic issues faced by girls who live in urban slums, as well as to raise community support for girls living in those conditions.

To bring different types of people together to celebrate and recognize female participation and the opportunities created by such participation; Create opportunities for young women and girls who are starting their careers; to create new opportunities for women, particularly young women, to build relationships with support from businesses, donors, government, education and non-profit organizations.

Mithali Raj discussed how different types of people will participate in the event and be able to further their confidence as well as expand their network(s) through this event.

Hari Chandana also mentioned that the event would provide a venue for fundraising and raising awareness for the empowerment of women in at-risk communities.

Jayaprada Devi, Joint Secretary of Seva Bharathi Telangana spoke about how their organization has assisted (through this initiative) over 35,000 girls in the past 10 years and how, through new registrations, they will be able to help even more young women.
