Akhilesh Yadav Promises Rs 40,000 for Women Ahead of UP Polls

In the upcoming Assembly polls in the state of Uttar Pradesh, Akhilesh Yadav, the Samajwadi Party president, emphasized the need for women voters. In this regard, he proposed providing a pension of Rs 40,000 annually to women through the revival of the Samajwadi pension scheme.

This announcement was made by him at the Murti Devi-Malti Devi Women Honour Ceremony held in Lucknow. His wife and the Mainpuri MP Dimple Yadav were present during the announcement. In this regard, he also stated that preparations for the polls had already started in the state by deploying officials.

Jyotirpeeth Shankaracharya Swami Avimukteshwaranand Saraswati announced the launch of the Chaturangini Sena. This organisation has already acquired over 2.18 lakh members from various parts of the nation. The main objectives of this organisation are the protection of cows, religious traditions, scriptures, and temples.

The members of this organisation would wear yellow dresses and carry a ceremonial axe. A coordinating body called the Shri Shankaracharya Chaturangini Sabha has also been formed.

In this regard, the seer also requested the government to impose restrictions on the entry of non-Hindus into the Badrinath Temple and Kedarnath Temple premises.

Six medal-winning athletes have been made gazetted officers of the state government. Yogi Adityanath appointed these officers to the State’s Govt. service who have competed at the highest level wearing the National Flag representing India at a number of Sporting Events such as the Olympics, Para Olympics, Common- wealth Games, Asian Games, and World Championships including Cricketer Rinku Singh having been appointed as the Regional Sports Officer and missing his appointment as he was at the Indian Premier League.

The appointment of Para Athlete Praveen Kumar and Hockey Player Raj Kumar Pal as Deputy Superintendents of Police comes on the back of them winning their medals at the Paris Olympics 2024 Games.
