Adobe India's Prativa Mohapatra Announces Exit

Adobe India will have a change in its leadership soon after Prativa Mohapatra, Vice President and Managing Director of Adobe India, announced that she would be leaving the company after five years in the role. Mohapatra made this known through a LinkedIn post, which came just before the conclusion of a period during which she directed the company's India operations and was responsible for the growth strategy of the various business divisions.
During her LinkedIn post, she expressed, “Switching gears, taking a pause and refreshing before a new journey. After a very fulfilling nearly 5 years at Adobe India, it’s time to move on. Would like to take this opportunity to thank my customers, partners, colleagues and all stakeholders for their engagement and support along the way. See you on the other side!”
As the Vice President and Managing Director of Adobe India, Prativa was responsible for guiding the company which sale through Adobe Experience Cloud, Adobe Creative Cloud, and Adobe Document Cloud. She was a direct report to Simon Tate, the President of Adobe Asia-Pacific (APAC). She had a big role in determining the company's strategy and the potential for growth.

The hiring of Prativa at Adobe India was significant in itself, as she emerged as the first woman CEO in the company. The time period when she was the CEO for Adobe India witnessed its commitment to digital transformation and technologies and customer experience solutions.
Prior to joining Adobe, Prativa had served as Vice President of Digital Sales for Asia Pacific and also led the sales department of IBM for India and South Asia. As such, her expertise and leadership skills in the domain of technology placed her among the leading executives in the Indian tech scene.
Apart from her role in Adobe, Mohapatra was also an executive member of Nasscom Executive Council from April 2023 till May 2026. Even though she is yet to reveal information regarding her future job, Prativa said that she would like to take some time off before taking on a new challenge. The guiding principle behind her career has always been to help organizations and governments cope with technological changes.
She has three decades of experience working at PwC, IBM, and Adobe, helping organizations to become ready to embrace disruptive technologies and prepare to benefit from them.
Mohapatra is a graduate of XIM University Bhubaneswar’s MBA program and has extensive knowledge in finance and systems. She received the Consumer Products Insights & Solutions (Gold) award from IBM, and holds SAP certification as well. Her strong areas include business development, management, IT outsourcing, vendor management, and business process transformation. Her career began back in 1994 when she was appointed a Senior Managing Consultant at PwC.
