World-leading professional services company Accenture has appointed Kate Clifford as its new Global Chief Leadership and Human Resources Officer, reflecting the company's focus on leadership continuity and strategic reinvention. The appointment, made this week, is part of Accenture's overall initiative to sync its human capital strategy with the ambitions of its Reinvention Services program.
A 27-year company veteran, Kate most recently headed HR operations in the Americas. In her new worldwide role, she will be responsible for leadership development, workforce agility, talent mobility, and employee engagement. She succeeds Angela Beatty, who moved into another leadership role in the organization.
In keeping with Accenture's longstanding emphasis on internal talent development, Kate began her career as a business process consultant and raised through several leadership roles in client delivery and HR.
Her promotion comes at a good time because Accenture is undergoing a major transition with the launch of its Reinvention Services division, which combines expertise in digital transformation, cloud computing, and artificial intelligence.
