Women's Hockey Karnataka and Kerala win Inaugural Hockey India Masters Cup 2025

Hockey Karnataka and Kerala Hockey won the women's category of the inaugural Hockey India Masters Cup 2025 at the Mayor Radhakrishnan Hockey Stadium in Chennai, with Kerala Hockey dominating the game with a 5-1 victory over Hockey Maharashtra, and Hockey Karnataka secured the game with a 2-0 victory.

Hockey Himachal and Hockey Karnataka played the inaugural women's match, with both teams playing equally in the first half, remaining goalless. During the second half, Manasa KP scored the first goal in the 36th minute for Hockey Karnataka, and Rohini MR's contribution in the 42nd minute led to a 2-0 victory.

In the next match, Kerala Hockey defeated Hockey Maharashtra 5-1 in the women's category, with Susha Mol KS scoring a brace, Malaialagu, Vidhya VC, Neethu PJ contributing goals, and Jisa Chandran R scoring a consolation goal. Susha Mol KS scored in the 25th and 51st minutes, while Malaialagu scored in the 4th minute. Vidhya VC scored in the 30th minute, and Neethu PJ scored in the 38th minute, each adding a goal. Maharashtra's Jisa Chandran R netted a lone goal in the 58th minute.

The Hockey India Masters Cup 2025, a national tournament celebrating veteran hockey players in India, held from June 18 to 27, 2025, at the Mayor Radhakrishnan Hockey Stadium in Chennai, Tamil Nadu. The event features 12 men's teams from players aged 40 and above, and 8 women's teams with players aged 35 and above in a league-cum-knockout format.

Hockey has shaped who I am, and to have the chance to return to the field, surrounded by fellow veterans who have shared similar journeys, is truly special.
