The Arab nation of Qatar is a country on the rise. The thriving nation has much more to offer beyond its futuristic skyscrapers; it is also a haven for upcoming businesses. With strong economic growth and next-gen infrastructure in place, Qatar’s business world is enroute an upwards growth trajectory.
This growth is also inclusive. Not only is the country’s work force a melting pot of people from different cultures, but it also has ample representation of women. According to a ranking official of the Qatari Businesswomen Association (QBWA), the rate of women participating in Qatar’s labour force stands at 59 percent and is the highest in the Arab world.
The country believes in the philosophy of ‘catching them young’; Qatari universities have twice the number of women students as male students. 30 percent of the country’s decision-making roles are also held by women. The progressive measures taken by the nation are bearing fruit with more women than ever pursuing education and thriving careers.
