Technology Catalyzing Women's Success

Technology Catalyzing Women's Success

By: Rachita Sharma, Managing Editor | Friday, 12 September 2025

Technology is one of the most crucial catalysts powering the future of the world while empowering minority communities. With technology, the playing field gets levelled and those with lesser resources also gain the opportunity to grow.

While machines and computers don’t discriminate on the basis of gender, but is the world of technology also similar? That is up for debate. Women continue to be a minority in the global tech world. Closer home in India there has been a gradual rise in the number of women pursuing STEM degrees. More and more women are also entering the tech workforce, but we don’t see similar gender ratio at the top.

According to data from a Deloitte Global study, women made up 33 percent of the overall workforce in large global tech firms. However, an age-old phenomenon still persists; women’s representation is severely lacking when it comes to top leadership roles in the tech world too.

If ample women are joining the industry, then why are we not seeing enough women at the top? Somewhere the pipeline is broken and there is a lack of societal support for working women. Mentorship has also been a challenge.

Women Entrepreneurs Review intends to become a catalyst of change. We do so by championing women leaders and bringing shining role models to our readers.
