Interior design is the art of creating spaces that are a perfect amalgamation of functionality and aesthetics while ensuring that the space reflects the personality of the individuals using the said space. As much as interior design is an art, it is also a science.

In the post pandemic world, as most industries are moving back to their previous growth estimates, the interior design segment is no different. According to reports, the global interior design market was estimated to be worth $45.1 Billion in 2022. Going forward the market is slated to grow at a CAGR of 7.4 percent and be worth $79.6 Billion by 2030.

Region-wise North America including US, Canada and Mexico is leading the interior design market. Following them is Europe, APAC, South America and Middle East & Africa.

UAE’s interior design industry has been growing rapidly over the last few years. The region is known for its bold and one-of-a-kind designs. Statistics from Mordor Intelligence predict that UAE’s interior design market size will touch $1.77 billion by 2025 and will grow to be worth $2.84 billion by 2030, growing at a CAGR of 9.96%.

The growth in the interior design segment is being led by talented and creative designers. Driven by out-of-the-box ideas and the needs of the modern world, these new-age interior design experts leverage their prior experience to craft modern spaces.

The current edition of Women Entrepreneurs Review magazine is on an endeavor to introduce you to some of the most exciting voices in UAE’s interior design world.

We feature an in-depth interview with Geetha Nayak, the Co-founder and Managing Partner of Design Infinity, one of the UAE’s leading interior fit-out and design firms. Trained as an architect, her early fascination with buildings, spaces, and sketching led her to specialize in interior fit-outs, a field she has passionately pursued throughout her career.

After moving to the Middle East in 2007, she co-founded Design Infinity in 2012, growing it into a top-five fit-out company in the region with over 1,300 professionals and comprehensive in-house capabilities spanning design, MEP, IT, joinery, glass, metal, and furniture manufacturing. Her current focus is on creating workspaces that truly reflect the client’s vision, ensuring all expectations regarding design, budget, and timelines are met.
