The long-awaited Union Budget of India has been announced by the finance minister, Nirmala Sitharaman on July 23, 2024, with changes in the new regime. Having the primary focus on employment, skilling, MSMEs, and the middle class, Union Budget 2024 has come up with 5 schemes for employment & skilling and 9 Budget Priorities in pursuing ‘Viksit Bharat’.
With the mentions of direct and indirect taxes, this year’s budget has also put forward female-centric programmes and also declared Rs. 3 Trillion for women-focused schemes. As mentioned by FM Sitharaman, the government will focus on improving women’s participation in the workforce by teaming up with industries.
