Movie stars and sports persons have often been the most sought-after celebrity endorsers. Indian actors and actresses have been ruling the charts with some of the highest endorsement values. Notable divas such as Deepika Padukone, Nayanthara, Kiara Advani, Katrina Kaif, and Rashmika Mandhana have seen significant brand value increase over the past couple of years.

The Celebrity Brand Valuation Report 2023, titled "Brand, Business, Bollywood" by Kroll, recently ranked India's most powerful celebrity brands based on endorsement portfolios and social media presence.

Alia Bhatt topped the female charts and was the only woman in the top five, with a brand value of $101.1 million. The cumulative brand value of the top 25 Indian celebrities increased by 18 per cent, reaching $1.9 billion. Female celebrities contributed 24 per cent to brand value. Bollywood dominates the entertainment industry, with blockbusters exceeding $100 million.
