"Women are the largest untapped reservoir of talent in the world”, Says Hillary Clinton. The editorial team of Woman Entrepreneur Magazine meets one such talented woman from Thailand who is a leading business leader in the country and is on a mission to make a positive difference in people’s lives. Anies Wii Bunyawi Lappanichpoonpon, Founder, GALALA Treat & Acious has never just dreamt about her success, instead worked for it. She grew up in a family with a strong background in the construction, real estate and hotel industries. It is from there that she learned the qualities of becoming a great business leader. Before setting forth on the entrepreneurial journey, she had exceptional experiences in diverse industries. Throughout her career, she has been showcasing strong communication and management skills in all her endeavors. A team builder, motivator, and venturous leader, Anies is not only making food delicious & glamorous but also helping women redefine their beauty. The success of her two brands GALALA Treat & Acious is a sheer example of her persistence, hard work & dedication.

Let’s hear it from her.

What factors motivated you to find GALALA Treat & Acious? Tell us about the underlying idea behind both brands.

Ever since childhood, for me, visiting family during school vacations meant carrying gorgeous & glamourous edible cakes as a gift. But there were rarely any shops that would sell edible items that tasted delicious, looked glamorous, and were easy to carry. When I decided to be an entrepreneur, I wanted to offer gorgeously looking delicious cookies, donuts, and other treats to the people of Thailand. This is how GALALA Treat was established. The main vision of GALALA Treat is to create, support, and provide the best experience of giving, packed inside a box. On the other hand, the whole idea behind establishing Acious was to provide women who are living a rush-hour lifestyle with self-care solutions to make them feel confident & help them shine graciously from inside & out.

What are some of the most pressing business challenges that you face as an entrepreneur? How do you successfully mitigate these challenges?

Entrepreneurship comes with all sorts of demanding challenges. During the initial stage of launching my brands, I found it immensely difficult to cope with the fast-moving trend and evolving customer requirements. But the intensive research about the client’s needs and the distinctive features of my brands have earned me a successful position in the market.

"I would advise aspiring women entrepreneurs to have a clear goal, generate possible ways to execute their goal, & keep reminding themselves why they started it in the first place"

What are the milestones that you have achieved through GALALA Treat? Also, what are your plans for Acious?

Speaking of GALALA Treat the milestones have been huge. From a single bakery product today, we have shifted to a B2B catering, event, and wedding service. We have developed collaborations with global fashion brands and local leading businesses in Thailand. For Acious, we began with launching a premium hand-made magnetic eyelash as a lead product in Bangkok and now we are looking forward to selling it across five countries by 2023.

How do you foresee the growth of women entrepreneurs in Thailand? What would be your advice to young women who aspire to become business leaders?

The world is evolving and so are the women of Thailand. They are ready to come out of their comfort zone. We will see a lot more businesses owned by determined bold women in near future. Women must educate & specialize themselves in their fields of interest and motivate each other in every way. A creatively observant entrepreneur and founder of two leading brands focused on finding the gaps in the market and implementing solutions to maximize production.
