W.O.W Market Returns to Dhaka with 40 Women-Led Businesses

The second edition of the W.O.W Market (Women of Worth and Wonder) is set to take place on Saturday, 19 September 2026, at Crowne Plaza Dhaka Gulshan. The event will bring together women entrepreneurs, artisans and creators to showcase their businesses and connect with the wider community.

Running from 10:30 am to 9:30 pm, the day-long marketplace will be hosted in the hotel’s Grand Ballroom on the 25th floor. According to a press release, the event will provide a platform for women-led businesses to display their products and engage with visitors.

The marketplace will feature 30 stalls representing around 40 women-led enterprises, offering handwoven apparel, jute and coconut husk crafts, homemade food and other handcrafted products. Participating brands include Dmart, Box of Ornaments, Aurum Bangladesh and Bene Bou, among others.

  • Each participating entrepreneur will contribute Tk3,000 to support Mojar School

This year, there is also a philanthropy initiative that will be included. Every entrepreneur in the group will pay Tk3000 for the stall and the money will be utilized in the benefit of the organization “Mojar School” established by the Odommo Bangladesh Foundation. Meanwhile, entrepreneurs will retain all the income of sales.

The event will also see the participation of ActionAid and Acid Survivors Foundation to foster women's economic empowerment and social inclusion. As part of IHG Hotels & Resorts' Giving for Good Month.

General Manager of Crowne Plaza Dhaka Gulshan, Karthi VK, said: "W.O.W Market is built on the belief that when women are given the right platform, they can turn their creativity and skills into meaningful opportunities. After the encouraging response to our first edition, we are delighted to bring W.O.W Market back with an even stronger purpose. This year, we are especially proud that the initiative supports women entrepreneurs while also contributing to Mojar School through Giving for Good.”

“The inaugural edition attracted more than 600 visitors and supported over 50 women by providing market visibility and commercial access. Organizers expect more than 600 visitors to attend Saturday's event, held under the theme "Where Women, Creativity & Purpose Come Together,” he added.
