Women's Campus hiring Increases by 5% finds HirePro Report

HirePro, an AI-powered recruitment automation firm has released a new report on March 18, 2024. The report’s stats are solely based the data evaluated in FY23 comprising a sample size of 5,50,000 BTech candidates across 5 zones of the country that includes, central, east, north, south, and west.
The report reveals an increase of 5% points of women in campus hiring in the year 2022-23 in comparison to the previous year in India. The report exclaims that 40% of the hirings were women from college campuses in FY23, which is up from 35% from previous year’s data.
According to the HirePro report, campus hiring exams from last fiscal has witnessed a majority of female participators from sectors like IT, banking, financial services and insurance (BFSI) and research and development (R&D). Amongst all the sectors, IT comes on top for having the highest number of women participators.
Chief Operating Officer of HirePro, S Pasupathi stated, “The data derived from our campus hiring report serves as a tangible testament to India's progress toward achieving gender equality in the workforce.”
In addition to the sectors, campus hiring exams in 2022-23 has got highest number of female participations that counts to 39% whereas east India has got minimum participation at 24%. Besides, west zone witnessed 34% participation, central zone- 28%, and north 27%.
