IndianOil appoint Rashmi Govil as New Director of HR

Ms. Rashmi Govil is the newly appointed Director of Human Resources at the Indian Oil Corporation Limited (IndianOil). She was appointed to the respective designation on 15 March 2024. At present, IndianOil has two female functional directors on its board that are Ms. Shukla Mistry, the Director of Refineries, and now Ms. Rashmi Govil. The board consists of seven functional directors in total.

Ms. Rashmi offers extensive experience spanning over three decades in diverse facets of the human resources sector. She was employed by IndianOil as the Executive Director (HRD & Employee Relations) before this newly assigned position at the firm. Her areas of expertise include hiring, policy design, succession planning, pay and performance management, and systems management. She is regarded as an authority in industrial relations as well.

She has been phenomenal during her tenure as she contributed significantly to a number of the company's key projects throughout. Notably, she led to the establishment of the distinctive innovation cell named 'Srijan', which implements SAP systems for the entire company in HR and succeeded in negotiating long-term salary settlements with the IndianOil unions.

In addition to this, she also led to the implementation of policy changes that prioritized inclusivity, diversity, and work-life balance of the employees.
