Women Provided with 27 crore Mudra Loan by Modi Government, says Home Minister Amit Shah

On Tuesday, Union Home Minister, Amit Shah praised the Central Government's efforts mentioning that Prime Minister Narendra Modi had inaugurated a period of nine years of women-led development, with India making a record for providing 27 crores Mudra loans to women entrepreneurs who contribute to the development of the economy.

Amit Shah made it clear that the government led by PM Modi has been promoting womanhood for nine years, and that the word womanhood is not just a slogan. According to the Home Minister, "Rs 27.7 crore loans were extended to women entrepreneurs for providing loans up to Rs 10 lakh to the small business firm's under Mudra Yojana which is an initiative launched by Narendra Modi on 8 April 2015 to strengthen 'Nari Shakti'

Commercial Banks, Cooperative Banks, RRBs, Small Finance Banks, NBFCs, and MFIs offer Mudra loans under Pradhan Mantri MUDRA Yojana (PMMY).

He also stated that how Modi government has supported and provided Rs 15,922 crore in orders by more than 1.45 lakh women-founded Micro Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs).

The minister also mentioned several benefits provided by the list of schemes. Stand-up India has benefitted 80 percent of women and 47 percent of startups have at least one female director. In addition to this, 54 percent of women are certified under the PM Gramin Digital Saksharta Abhiyan. He further stated that 3.94 billion pregnant women have been examined as a part of the PM Surakshit Matritva Abhiyan in 2021, and over 43 lakh women participated in STEM courses. Most female pilots also belong to India.

There has been a strong positive impact on empowering women in these past nine years of PM Modi-led government. Women have benefitted through various pathways and schemes during this period.
