Bundelkhand, which has traditionally been characterised by drought, migration and poverty, has gone through transformative changes. Under Yogi Adityanath's leadership, women in rural Bundelkhand are now participating in more than 9000 Total Business Turnover of more than ₹2000 Crores.

The purpose of this initiative is to establish collectively owned and operated enterprises by women so that they can access resources to help them on their path to achieving economic independence.

Approximately 90,000 women in Bundelkhand have already established collectively owned enterprises, resulting in a total business turnover of in excess of ₹2000 Crores.

The launch of these initiatives started from Jhansi District, and since then has expanded women from Banda, Chitrakoot, Hamirpur, Jalaun, Lalitpur and Mahoba Districts.

Women associated with collectively owned enterprises are procuring 300,000 liters of milk every day from over 1,143 villages. The total business output generated so far by women associated with Balini MPC has reached over ₹2000 Crores.
