With 35 percent Female Employees, TCS becomes the Top Employer for Women in India

The second iteration of the top 10 women employers in the nation was published by Hurun India and Burgundy Private, an Axis Bank company. The top employers of women in the nation are on the 2022 Burgundy Private Hurun India list. Tata Consultancy Services, which employs nearly 2.1 lakh people or 35% of the workforce overall, tops the list.

Following Tata Consultancy Services (TCS), which employs 40%, 36%, 28%, and 18% of women employees, respectively, are Infosys, Wipro, HCL Technologies, and Reliance Industries.

Tata Consultancy Services, Infosys, Wipro, HCL Technologies, Reliance Industries, Motherson Sumi Systems, Tech Mahindra, ICICI Bank, HDFC Bank, and Page Industries make up the list of the top 10 employers of women in the nation.

About 74% of the workers of Page Industries, with a market value of Rs. 55,511 crore, are women. Motherson Sumi Systems, which has 41% of women, is the next company.

The "2022 Burgundy Private Hurun India 500" has been launched by Hurun India and Burgundy Private, the private banking division of Axis Bank. The list, which ranks the 500 most valuable corporations in India, is in its second iteration.

The 2022 Burgundy Private Hurun India 500 firms have 16% female representation on their boards. "As India’s economy grows and the India 500 becomes bigger, expect the percentage of women board directors to grow too. The 2022 Burgundy Private Hurun India 500 are some of the biggest employers of women in the country led by Tata Consultancy Services with about 2.1 lakh women employees," Anas Rahman Junaid MD and Chief Researcher, Hurun India stated.
