VFund 2026 offers seed funding and support to help grow women-led startups and convert innovative business ideas into scalable ventures by providing early stage women entrepreneurs with essential resources such as financial assistance, incubation facilities, and capacity building resources.

Specific goals include providing financial assistance to women-led startups; incubators and accelerators; and capacity building through programs in entrepreneurship, leadership, and business development.

Participants in VFund 2026 will receive ₹2,00,000 in seed funding, incubation support from the Vels Innovation Council, and mentorship and expected that they will receive guidance on their business model development, and as well as assistance with assessing the scalability of their business.

The criteria for the program are being a woman entrepreneur with a woman co-founder, aged 45 years or less, running a startup registered in the state of Tamil Nadu, and having at least 51 percent women ownership or a woman founder.

The target group for the program includes VELS students, alumni, faculty, as well as the general public with innovative business ideas that are viable as startups. The accelerator program structure includes the following steps: screening, mentoring, capacity-building, and seed funding support.

VFund 2026 is a program geared towards addressing the disparities in finance, mentorship, and incubation in order to groom and train women entrepreneurs to pursue the role of entrepreneurs, innovation, and development of the startup scene in the state of Tamil Nadu.

The program aims at developing entrepreneurs for the purposes of creating social and economic impacts through the development of women-owned businesses sustainably.

This program can be applied for by confirming the eligibility of the program, creating a business proposal, and undertaking the screening and evaluation processes in order to access the accelerator and incubation program.
